Action Research is embedded in all initial teacher training and continuing professional development at Southfields Academy and in Southfields Teaching School Alliance.
Action Research creates reflective practitioners; continuously working on and improving their practice, this has a positive effect on what occurs in the classroom. It creates an environment where we can nurture the enquiring minds of our young people by demonstrating that we, too, have enquiring minds. We foster our students’ relationships with their learning through ours with our own, hoping to achieve the goal of equipping our students to become infinitely flexible lifelong learners.
